Volunteers kicked-off summer by giving back to the community! Without school provided meals, many kids right here in Palm Beach County suffer from hunger during the summer months. Together we can help to STOP summer hunger! By volunteering at Feeding South Florida's Summer Hunger Ends Here Sort-a-Thon we were able to process 7,648 pounds of food, which will provide 6,373 meals for locals in need this summer. Not too bad for just a morning's worth of work! By working together we make an impact.
Feeding South Florida rescues 44 million pounds of food per year and before it can be distributed the product needs to be inspected and sorted. That's where we come in.
